For the most part, we are shipping rewards by backer number. When your reward ships, you should receive an email from UPS (US, Canada, and UK), or DHL (Australia) with your tracking number and delivery estimate. We anticipate all rewards to be shipped by March 5th, 2021.

As mentioned on our Kickstarter updates #10 and #11, our deadline to change mailing addresses has passed. If you send us an email at info@casscaps.com, we will try to change your mailing address if your reward has not yet shipped, though at this juncture we unfortunately cannot guarantee it.

As our instruction manual mentions, we do not recommend the use of CassCaps with fine salts since the properties of salt may cause the inner mechanism to bind. It does work reasonably well though with coarse ground salt.
-
As with conventional salt and pepper grinders, there can be some passthrough of fine ingredients with vigorous shaking.

You may need to wiggle your cap a little at first to get the threads to catch properly onto the bottle. We have found that generally, if you hold the cap firm and gently press the bottle against it while rotating the bottle half of a rotation counter-clockwise, you will find the bottle "catches" the thread. From there you can then twist the bottle in the opposite direction (clockwise) to tighten. Be careful not to over tighten.

We have had a couple of backers say that they did so successfully, however we do not have enough information about all dishwashers to firmly recommend it. For our suggested wash and care instructions, you can access our manual here. Be sure to dry CassCaps thoroughly after washing. We find that it helps to give them a good shake to get as much water out of the mechanism as possible before laying them out to dry overnight.
